“Every mountain top is within reach, if you keep climbing” - Barry Finlay

Welcome to Vision 2020 Merit Program.

The Vision 2020 Merit program intends to recognize merit students by the MSU alumni who want to applaud their hard and smart work. Far too often, merit students are recognized in their final year of college. It is too late. We aim to recognize merit students from their first year of college and thus help them build and sustain their intensity and pursuits of higher goals.

For students.

To be recognized by senior alumni and the university helps build strong character. Students with strong academic standing in their class, from the first year to their final year, are eligible to win Merit Award.

For alumni.

There are myriads of reasons why we should inspire young students to build a culture of excellence. This is a small step in recognizing talent and then nurturing them to greatness.

How does merit awards benefit students?

The goals behind our merit program is to align with our student-focused initiatives. The Vision 2020 Merit Awards are fair and objectively determined to recognize excellence in academics. We will publicly recognize Merit students at the end of their academic year based on their good grades. Students from all MSU faculty of technology departments, all programs - bachelor or masters, and from first to the last year are eligible to earn Vision 2020 Merit Awards. The merit recognition should fuel students' passion for innovation, develop a positive attitude towards higher goals, and become hands-on with the new skills. We also sincerely hope to encourage merit students to become Vision 2020 mentors and give back to the MSU community. The view is great when you get to the top and excites us to prepare for the next climb.
